ICNA CSJ Surpasses Gifting More than 20,000 Religious Materials to Incarcerated Muslims!

ICNA CSJ Gives Ramadan Gift Packages to Incarcerated Muslims

ICNA CSJ provided hundreds of incarcerated Muslims in San Francisco Ramadan gift packages which included a Qur'an, kufi, prayer rug, and Islamic literature.

We started the prison support program about 2-3 years ago and have quickly become the largest distributor of religious materials to Muslims behind bars in the United States. We just surpassed gifting more than 20,000 religious materials to facilities around the country alhamdulillah! In this month alone, we received numerous order requests from chaplains around the country and generously fulfilled those needs by gifting thousands of materials to our incarcerated brothers and sisters.

In this blessed month, we ask Allah to reward all those who donated to ICNA CSJ to make this happen and especially our recurring donors, who continue to generously support our work on a monthly basis.

Here is what some of the prison chaplains that we've been working with have to say about our program:

"As a Muslim Chaplain and Imam, working with Christian and other faith inmates, I’m always disappointed why Muslims are not aware of the Muslims inmates in the prison. Christians have the ultimate sources, in every platform that I have seen, I try to emphasize the importance of providing the Quran and other study materials that you guys offer. Trust me this small items/gift is making a big impact in prison, many of them have no families, one book, one gift shows them that their Muslim brothers and sisters are taking care of them, this is very important for their identity and feelings of belonging. Please tell your donors this is a great charity, and please remind them Islam is fastest growing religion in the prison, Islam is not going to separate out in plazas or fancy places. We always need their help/donations."

I would like to express my thanks for the donation of Qurans you provided to USP Marion.
