Hindu Nationalist Influence in the United States, 2014-2021 The Infrastructure of Hindutva Mobilizing

This 93-page report looks at the Infrastructure of Hindutva Influence Peddling, Mobilizing, and Fund Raising in the US. Fascism-inspired groups, called the Sangh Parivar (Sangh family, or the Sangh), operate a vast social ecosystem throughout India. Hindu nationalists in India have become mainstreamed through winning elections and gaining control of the national and several state-level governments.

 

Hindutva in the US:
Rs 1,231.6 cr on Hindutva influence-peddling in the US

For nearly two decades, seven US-based groups, affiliated with the Sangh Parivar, have spent over $158 million (Rs 1,227 crore) on various projects, including sending money to India, as per a new report.

It was revealed that between 2001- 2019 seven Sangh-affiliated charitable groups in the US reportedly spent at least $158 million on Hindutva programming, sending much of it to groups in India and there are reportedly 222 shakhas of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), the US wing of the militant, paramilitary Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), across 32 states and 166 cities in the US, according to a new report ‘Hindu Nationalist Influence in the United States.

USCMO is inviting members of the American Muslim community to register for its 7th annual National Muslim Congressional Advocacy Week – this year resuming in-person – taking place Monday, June 13th and Tuesday, June 14th at the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C.  

All representatives for national, state, and local Muslim organizations and communities are encouraged to register for this two-day advocacy event. Muslim delegates and activists will meet with congressional offices to discuss the most pressing issues impacting American Muslims in today’s political climate.
